
Dr Margaret Hutka specialises in the care of patients with thoracic and gynaecological malignancies. She joined the Trust in March 2018 and previously worked at the Royal Marsden Hospital, St George´s University Hospital London and Southampton University Hospitals. She completed her training in medical oncology at the Maria Sklodowska Curie Cancer Centre in Poland in 2008 and is accredited Consultant since 2011. She was awarded her PhD in BRCA positive ovarian cancer at the MSC Cancer Centre, Poland in 2011. Throughout her work she was actively involved in the recruitment of patients to phase I to III clinical trials and worked as Principal and Sub-Investigator. She is a past president of the Flims MCCR workshop Alumni. She has a degree in Health Policy, Planning and Financing at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the London School of Economics (2003). She is an active ESMO Policy Committee member.
